"Dr. Lou, you have done such a wonderful job with Melanie's functional orthopedic treatment. Starting with our initial consultation, evaluation and planning, through the arch development treatment phase and now down to the final stage.
Dr. Lou, you are an innovator. Your knowledge and skill saved us an unnecessary operation that others in the field suggested. The Meetinghouse Dental Care team is incredible - meticulous, friendly, knowledgeable and caring. They are like a second family to us!
Thank you for everything you've done."
Sincerely,
Marianne Lawrence, Horsham PA
"I went to Meetinghouse Dental Care last year and was given Invisalign. I am very satisfied with it because my teeth turned out just the way I wanted!! It was quick, easy, and pain free! In just 6 months my teeth were perfect. Invisalign is extremely comfortable. It was only necessary for me to take the aligners off before meals, which made it way easier to keep them clean. I recommend Invisalign to everyone! I am also extremely pleased with the members of Meetinghouse Dental Care. Their attention has been great! There was not one time when I had to wait more than 5 minutes to be attended.
I'm very thankful with Dr. Lou Trovato and his assistants. Thank you!"

Lightwire Adult Jaw Orthopedics and Invisalign Orthodontics
Do you have a narrow, crowded arch? Crooked teeth? Or maybe you wore braces when
you were younger and your bite has relapsed? You CAN correct your smile WITHOUT
reverting to metal brackets and wiring!
Dr. Trovato offers qualified adult candidates a unique-to-this-practice
combination of (1) invisible lightwire appliance therapy, if arch development
recommended, and (2) clear aligner orthodontics. The result? Broad, beautiful
smiles. With no wires or brackets, you'll smile more during treatment, and
youÂ'll spend less time in our office for adjustments. And because you can remove
aligners to eat, brush, and floss - or simply for that special occasion -
there's nothing to hide.
Who should consider arch development prior to straightening teeth?
Some people with crooked, crowded teeth have very narrow arches that create
buccal corridors of dark space on both sides when they smile. Contrary to
general consensus, adult arches can be effectively expanded. The benefits are
not only esthetic. Too narrow arches may not allow space for proper tongue
positioning and may be implicated in compromised speech, mouth breathing,
drymouth, digestive compromise, forward head posture, spinal contortion, tooth
decay, periodontal disease, snoring, and/or
obstructive sleep apnea. Restricted oxygen intake from too narrow arches may
exacerbate conditions of ADD and ADHD. Restricted oxygen intake can also affect
the balance of the body's autonomic nervous system. Increased intake of oxygen
through properly developed arches can therefore improve not only appearance but
also energy level, ability to focus, and academic, professional, and sports
performance - and it reduces later risk of hypertension, high blood pressure,
and heart disease.
If you suffer from chronic temporomandibular joint pain, arch development prior
to teeth repositioning may make all the difference.
How does Invisalign straighten teeth?
Clear orthodontic aligners apply gentle force to specified teeth at specified
times. Each set of aligners is worn for two weeks, removed only to eat, drink,
brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your
teeth move - little by little, week by week - until they straighten to the final
prescribed position. You visit us every 4-6 weeks to ensure treatment progresses
as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months, depending on your case.
